Our Armed Forces Deserve Special Credit
If your income has been reduced because of a call to active military service, you may be eligible for benefits provided by the Soldier’s and Sailors’ Relief Act.
During World War II, Congress passed the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Relief Act to help our fighting forces meet credit obligations when a call to active military duty reduced their income and compromised their ability to meet financial obligations. The Act sets an interest cap of 6% on all debts, including mortgages, incurred before entry into active service, but only when active duty materially affects the ability to repay the obligation. Debts incurred during military service (including loan extensions and advances) are not subject to the protections of this act.
At Texas Partners, we appreciate the sacrifices our military men and women make for our country. If a call to active military service has affected your ability to repay a Texas Partners loan, please contact a Representative at (254) 526-3081 or (800) 246-7039. We’re here to support you!
