New Account Procedures
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law has required all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens a new account.
“Persons seeking to open an account must comply with the credit union’s Identity Verification Procedure. Under this law, Texas Partners Federal Credit Union is required to maintain a record of identifying information (driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate, etc.) provided by such person.”
As stated in section 326 of the USA Patriot Act of 2001, 31 U.S.C. 5318.
Should you have any questions concerning this requirement, please ask your Financial Service Representative. Thank you for your cooperation.
